NamPost Mail Services is the heart of parcel and mail sorting where all domestic and international mail is handled and prepared for distribution. The parcel depot under Mail Services is a bonded facility enabling NamPost to do customs clearing onsite with dedicated customs official onboard.
NamPost receives, sorts and distributes mail and post parcels to and from domestic and international destinations. This includes sorting and distributing letters, posting parcels, government mail, business and bulk mail and Hybrid mail / NamPost Digital Solutions, including digital and Express Mail Services (EMS) and International Courier Service. From 2023, customers will also be able to use our digitised postal orders to send and redeem money via SMS.
The following services are offered through our Southern Industrial Post Office:
EMS is an international postal Express Mail Service, for documents and merchandise. The Universal Postal Union created the EMS Cooperative to develop express delivery worldwide. The EMS Cooperative promotes cooperation between member postal organizations to allow them to provide a high-quality global EMS delivery service. NamPost as postal operator offers the worldwide door-to-door parcel and document express service through the postal network.
The Mail & Logistics International Division is also responsible for the co-ordination, interaction and communication of the department and the company with the Postal Organisations – may it be the UPU (Universal Postal Union), PAPU (Pan African Postal Union, SAPOA (Southern African Postal Operator Association). The division is also responsible for compliance with international regulation and the setting up of agreement with Airlines.
